My son broke his leg whilst wearing these , spiral fracture to his tibia impacting on the growth plate. The break was so severe it almost needed surgery and pins at 13 years old !!! Grass roots football and wales football association looking to ban the use of these as they do not offer adequate protection ! 10 weeks in plaster and nearly 4 months of rehabilitation later and he’s just getting back on track ! Not to mention that we had to cut the sleeves off because the swelling was so severe and couldn’t pull the damn thing off £50 wasted wouldn’t want another family to go through what we’ve been through ! Othopedic surgeon said if he had been wearing a proper shin pad this would t have happened

I loved these Shinpads, I bought the Breathe Shin Pads in Midi size and I can't feel them when playing. While they don't offer as much protection as the other bulky guards on the market they still offer some but they are so light and are great if you play in a position where you need to be fast and swift. Great Product!

I think have a better idea how they fit vs how they look in person. The padded portion looked like a good size in the photos but when I got mine mind you after waiting longer than I expected. the padded portion was substantially smaller than what was pictured. it left me feeling like I was tricked into thinking these had more coverage.

Unlike bulky plastic shin guards, JOGA sleeves use Triangular Tibia Protection (TTP) foam padding that absorbs impact while staying flexible, lightweight, and low-profile— ideal for comfort and mobility.

Do they offer protection?

Yes! We use TTP (Triangular Tibia Protection) Anti-Collision Technology to keep your shins protected against tackles and impacts. The padding is soft on the skin but extremely shock-absorbent, and it’s been tested to withstand heavy knocks (it even passed our hammer test!).

Which size shin pad sleeve should I buy?

Our shin pads sleeves come in three fits:

  • Child (6-9 years)
  • Youth (10-13 years)
  • Adult (14+ years)

But each age range has multiple padding variants (MINI, MIDI, MAXI, MEGA)

How can I wash them?

You can machine wash your JOGA shin pad sleeves on a gentle cycle at low heat (30°C) or hand wash them for extra care.

  • let them air dry to maintain their shape and elasticity.
  • For quick refreshes, a simple rinse and air dry works perfectly after training sessions.
  • Do not bleach or iron
  • Avoid fabric softeners—these can damage elasticity and silicone grip
